Welcome Video for the 1:1 Listening Connector

at the International Listening Association's 46th Annual Convention

This 5-minute welcome video gives you an overview of, and key details for, the 1:1 Listening Connector.

(Please click on the musical note in the bottom right of the video if you cannot hear the sound.) â€‹â€‹

Here is a Summary of the Welcome Video:

What Is the 1:1 Listening Connector?

- A program to enhance your Convention experience through focused, one-to-one conversations

- This year’s version of Convention Pals and a pilot for introducing infrastructure for 1:1’s to other groups that hold conventions and conferences

How It Works

- Sign up by emailing [email protected]

- You will be randomly paired with a partner (could be someone you know or someone new)

- You and your partner receive instructions for three conversations: before, during, and after the Convention

- A suggested structure, prompts, and listening menu are provided to support—not micromanage—your conversations

What You’ll Do

- Before  or during the Convention: Share your work, passion for listening, and Convention goals

- During the Convention: Meet in person for a conversation, walk, meal, or program

- After the Convention: Reflect together, share takeaways, and bring an appreciative end to your series of conversations
